Katie has been dancing since she was 2, training in ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tap, and hip hop. She studied at a local studio in Aurora, IL, and has competed and performed throughout the Chicagoland area. Her training involved working with many industry professionals, including Mike Gosney, Kelly Brunk, Karen Chuang, Kent Boyd, Josh Assor, and Carrie Nicastro Ruiz. As a competitor, she has won several awards and was chosen for many scholarships at various competitions and conventions.

Throughout high school, Katie was a part of the Orchesis Dance Company, where she served as a student officer and 4x choreographer. Katie continued her education at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she recently received her Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Psychology. During her time at UW, she took multiple dance courses through the Department of Dance and was a 3-year member of the school’s official club dance team, for which she was a 2x choreographer. Katie is very excited to join the EDS staff.
