Gianna’s dance journey began at the age of three, training in a wide variety of styles including lyrical, jazz, ballet, contemporary, musical theatre, and hip hop at Aspire Dance Company in Bloomingdale, IL. Throughout her training, she competed across the country, earning numerous awards, titles, and scholarships.
During high school, Gianna was a dedicated member of the Varsity Dance Team, helping lead the team to major successes including winning the State Championship Title her sophomore year, finishing as State Runner-Up her junior year, and securing the Sectional Title three years in a row. In her senior year, Gianna was named Varsity Co-Captain, where she played a key role in leading the team, motivating her teammates, and contributing to the continued success of the program. Gianna was also a member of her school’s Dance Ensemble, where she choreographed multiple original pieces.
Gianna continued her dance career at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where she earned a spot on the prestigious B1G Dance Team. During her time on the team, she performed at every football and basketball game, showcased her talent at top venues such as Soldier Field and the United Center, and traveled to Ireland to perform in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade, even appearing in a film with actor John Goodman. As a senior, Gianna became Team Captain and co-led the squad, choreographing several halftime and feature performances.
After graduating, Gianna continued to deepen her dance knowledge by training with award-winning choreographers and attending top studios. She has spent the past five years substitute teaching at our studio, where she fell in love with the community and culture. Now, Gianna is thrilled to join the staff as a full-time teacher, eager to share her passion for dance with her new students and help them grow both as performers and individuals.
