Isabella M

Isa is 11 years old and has been dancing since she was 3 years old. Prior to Expression Dance Company she was under the direction of Mickey Sullivan, who encouraged her to audition for Expression Dance Company in 2012. Isa started in Pre-Express and is now in Elite Teen! Isa is very excited to be in Elite Teen this year, making new friends and staying with old ones.  Her favorite style of dance is ballet and it is her 3rd year on pointe.  She is looking forward to her pointe solo with Ms. Cindy, which is a work in progress and very challenging. A few of Isa’s strengths are her left leg flexibility and ballet. Isa likes watching other dancers, because they motivate her to try new things. Isabella looks up to Misty Copeland.

Isa is proud of the lyrical scholarship she received from Kate Jablonski this summer. She also danced in the Hubbard Street Intensive for the second time.  Besides dance Isa plays volleyball, viola, tumbling, and enjoys spending time with her friends.   She would like to thank friends and family for encouraging her. Isa also would like to thank her dance teachers at Expression Dance Studio that have shared their passion with her, and have helped her grow as a person and a dancer. Without them Isa wouldn’t be where she is today.
